WAIT ON THE LORD

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isa. 40:29-31) The word ‘wait’ means, “to stay where you are or delay doing something until somebody or something happens. It also means “to hope for something to happen or to be left alone until there’s a change.” When you see a waiter in a restaurant, his or her job is to wait on his duty until someone comes in.
