WHY AM I A MAN? by Bro. Gbile Akanni

WHY AM I A MAN?
                                Excerpts from Bro. Gbile Akanni’s book – THE DIGNITY OF MANHOOD

He who made them in the beginning made them male and female…”
He did not make them male and male, neither did He make them female and female. There is a deliberateness in the heart of God when he ceated them male and female.
Why am I a male” is a question that every man must answer. A personal discovery of God’s perspective of who you are born to be is foundational to your correct functioning in life.
He is the head of the woman
“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” (1 Cor.11:3)
With this statement, it means that the first basic problem that hs bedeviled many lives is ignorance. Since you were born, it is possible that you have really been confronted with the issue of why you re a man, from the biblical point of view.
The first instruction given here is that you may know. Such knowledge will bring you to a level of responsibility. In government service there is something we call an organogram. Organogram is the order of flow of instructions and authority in an establishment. Suppose you have in an office the Executive Director, a Deputy and three Assistant Directors before you have the manager. It will not be right for a manager to bypass the Assistant Director, Deputy and be having direct dealings with the Executive Director. If the E.D is directly calling a manager to give him instructions and to ask him to report directly to him, he will only destroy that organization.
Divine organogram
Looking at the diagram, you will discover that at the apex is God Himself. Next is Christ, and then the man and the woman in that order.
The bible says, I want you to know that the Head of every man is Christ. This means that if a man is going to report properly, he should report to Christ. He should take instructions from Christ and disseminate them. I also want you to know that the head of a woman is man. For your wife to receive answers to her prayers, you must be in perfect agreement with her. Even though she may spend night vigils in the place of prayer, God is still asking a question, “where s your husband’s signature over the request?” if God will have no reason to discard your authority, you need to stand properly in your position in the divine organogram.

Man, where are you?
“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. (1 Tim.2:8)
Man, you are the image and the glory of God
Man, he is a man of responsibility
And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded.
 2 If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
 3 ¶ If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house in her youth;
 4 And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
 5 But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
 6 And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
 7 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
 8 But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall forgive her. (Num.30:1-8)

A man full of grace
“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” (John 1:16)
God expect every married man to be so spiritually tall, wise and robust that his wife may enter into him, in and out, take something out, go and manifest it and when she is manifesting it, it will just be simply out of his fullness.
